Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish has vowed to prove his critics wrong when the new ice hockey season gets under way.
Parrish considered quitting at the end of last season, which was his ninth in charge of the Mos.
But the 37-year-old is now fired up for the new campaign after a summer which has seen him add several new faces to a 17-strong roster at Silver Blades, Gillingham.
He said: “I’ve got a point to prove and the team has a point to prove. I came in for criticism last season, as did the team and I want to take that away from the team.
“I’ll take it on my shoulders. It’s been a busy summer and I couldn’t wait to get back in for training.
“I’ve still got the fire in my belly. Sometimes it is hard, you have more lows than highs at this level but, being the coach, I have to make sure those highs stay there. We’re in for a good year.”
