Max Ehmer hasn’t ruled out Gillingham’s play-off chances.
A 1-0 home defeat at the weekend left the Gills six points adrift.
But with a game at Swindon on Tuesday, there is still everything to play for according to the German defender.
He said: “There is that one spot up for grabs but I think we are more than capable of getting it. We need to start again Tuesday night.
“We need to get a win there, get a couple (of victories) under our belt, and go on another unbeaten run and then we will be up there.
“I don’t know what happened (on Saturday) but Tuesday is a good chance for us to turn it around. We are confident and we know we didn’t play as well as we can. We will go again.”
Swindon sit fourth in League 1 and were held to a goalless draw by Crewe at the weekend.
Ehmer said: “We go into every game focused and that is what we will do again on Tuesday night. We don’t fear anyone.
“We respect them but we don’t fear them because we know if we play to our potential we can win that game.”
