The chase for the League 1 play-offs is wide open says Gillingham boss Steve Lovell.
With 10 games to go, the Gills remain an outside bet, but Lovell believes two spaces are now up for grabs.
Lovell said: “In the last few weeks from one place being available in the playoffs, now I think there are two.
“The next three or four games are vital to all teams from us upwards, in with a chance of closing that gap.”
Gillingham were without a game last weekend, after freezing conditions led to health and safety concerns at Priestfield, but results were kind.
They may have slipped a place and an extra point off the play-off positions but they still have to play sixth placed Plymouth at home, having a game in hand over them and several others.
“It is wide open,” said the Gills boss.
“A lot of the teams who are up there are playing against each other in the next few weeks and that will cancel out one team each week.
“We still have to play a few teams above us.
“It is still anybodies league even now, but I think the next couple of weeks will most probably see it become more clear for certain clubs where their season is going to end.
“With 10 games to go anything could still happen."
