The Kent Senior Cup final will return to Gillingham’s Priestfield stadium this season.
It’s been many years since the final was last played at Priestfield but the news that this season’s premier cup final in the county will return was revealed in ‘The Kent Football Show’.
The final will take place at Priestfield on Wednesday, May 3.
The Kent Football Show was launched on YouTube on Thursday, and has been produced by the Kent FA to shine a light on grassroots football in Kent.
Speaking on the show, Kent FA chief executive Darryl Haden said: “We’ve discussed with Paul (Fisher, COO at Gillingham) and Gills have agreed to host the Kent Senior Cup final at Gillingham on Wednesday, May 3.
“We’re pleased that our Senior Cup final will be here and it’s really important moving forward that players in Kent playing in our county cups can aspire to play at venues like this.”
The first episode of the Kent Football Show features interviews with Gillingham owner Brad Galinson and COO Paul Fisher.
Also in the show, there’s a coaching drill with Kent FA’s David Webb, a feature on Cranbrook Juniors and coverage of the Kent Senior Cup tie between Chatham and Dover.
Mr Haden added: “We are excited to launch the Kent Football Show as it is a fantastic medium to showcase the brilliant work that is carried out throughout the Kent football community. The show aims to cover all aspects of Kent Football, ranging from our senior teams to those just starting their football journey.
“We see first-hand the amazing work being done by all the clubs and leagues across Kent, and this show aims to provide a platform for this great work to be shared.”
