Academy player Harvey Lintott has signed a professional contract at Gillingham.
Lintott is the second of the club’s youth team to have turned pro in recent days after forward Gerald Sithole also agreed a pro deal with the League 1 club.
The newest pro, Lintott, was named on the bench for Gillingham’s League 1 match against Rochdale in January.
Lintott plays on the right side of defence and manager Steve Evans commented on him after that match, saying: “We like him, he is a big, strong, powerful right sided player. He can play comfortably at right-back and he may develop as a right-sided centre back. He is a man in a kid’s body.
The manager added: “From our point of view we want to develop our own if we can.”
