Gillingham are opening just one of their stands to home supporters for their forthcoming FA Cup match against Brackley Town.
The club are expecting a lower than normal crowd for the first round encounter which takes place on Saturday, November 5.
Ticket prices have been reduced for the match against National League North side Brackley, with adult tickets costing just £12.
But home fans will only be allowed to sit in the Medway Stand, with the both ends behind the goals closed and the Gordon Road stand given over to away supporters.
Gillingham were knocked out of the competition at the first round stage in each of the last three seasons.
Brackley dumped them out of the competition after a replay, with the match at Priestfield three years ago attracting just over 3,000 fans.
Even fewer fans watched the Gills host Bristol City in the cup the following season, with only 2,645 attending.
The club will be hoping to save money by opening just the two stands for the forthcoming game.
Gates in the league this season have been above the 6,000 mark but in recent weeks the club have been giving away lots of tickets to Kent schools.
Over 2,500 school children have been given tickets to recent fixtures, with 40 primary schools across Kent invited to see the Gills play Coventry and Oldham.
Another 20 secondary schools were given tickets to watch the recent game against Walsall.
Tickets for the FA Cup game are priced at £12 for adults, £6 for concessions (under-18s and over-65s) and £1 for under-12s. They go on general sale on Wednesday and increase by £2 on the day of the game.
