Gillingham coach Ian Cox has left the club.
His announcement comes on the same day that players Luke O’Neill and Billy Bingham have both said they are leaving.
Cox was first team coach for the Gills under Steve Lovell.
Prior to his step-up to first-team duties, Cox worked with the ladies academy, as part of the club’s community team.
He was a popular figure around the club, having made over 150 appearances for the Gills during his playing career.
Cox tweeted: “Almost 10 years, via two stints with Gillingham FC, my love affair with the club has come to a sad end.
“Through the challenges & the experiences I thank the supporters, the players & staff who I have worked with in different roles.”
Player Elliott List replied: “Been a absolute pleasure coxy! All the best in the future!”
The Gills are yet to appoint a replacement for Steve Lovell, who was relieved of his management duties two games before the end of the season.
Former Peterborough boss Steve Evans is believed to be the man the Gills want but the club have been unwilling to comment on the situation.
