Gillingham chairman Paul Scally has offered free tickets to the fans that travelled to their League 1 defeat at Plymouth on Tuesday.
The Gills lost 3-1 against Plymouth to leave themselves just two points off the bottom of the table.
Mr Scally said he was "shocked and embarrassed" by the team's display and has offered two free tickets to a forthcoming home match to the 254 Gills fans that made the long trip.
A statement from Mr Scally said: "Everyone at the club was shocked and embarrassed by the performance last night and no-one should have to pay to watch that.
"As a token of our appreciation, we are offering two free adult tickets to all 254 people that made the journey on Tuesday evening, which can be used for any of the next five league fixtures at Priestfield."
Proof of purchase will be required to collect your tickets.
