There's still time to apply for the vacant senior coach's role at Medway Rugby Club.
Applicants have until February 14 to register their interest in replacing Taff Gwilliam, who left the club last month after more than 30 years' service - 16 of them in charge of the first team.
Medway, who play in Regional 1 South East, have ambitious plans for growth so Gwilliam's successor will not only be responsible for player development with a structured programme of coaching, but will also be expected to attend coaching and committee meetings, develop and lead an effective strategy to recruit and retain players and work with the club's coaching co-ordinator, ensuring development of youth and senior coaches.
The role will suit a candidate with experience of coaching at National League level, ideally with a Level 3 coaching qualification who is happy to support with future coaching development qualifications.
Medway pay their players, so applicants must be comfortable working within a semi-professional environment. Remuneration for the role is negotiable dependant on experience.
The new coach must be available from the start of May to prepare for the 2023/24 season, although Medway will consider an earlier joining date if requested.
Committee members are available for a conversation about the role prior to applying. Applicants should email their CV and a covering letter to clubchair@mrfc.net
