Billy Knott is beginning to attract some interest.
The Gillingham midfielder was transfer listed at the end of last season as head coach Ady Pennock looks to reshape the squad ahead of a fresh League 1 challenge.
Knott, 24, spent the end of last season on loan at National League champions Lincoln City after being told his first team chances with the Gills were limited.
He moved to Priestfield last summer but made just 15 league starts.
The Messenger understands several clubs have expressed an interest in the former Bradford man, who has a year left on his Gills contract but would be allowed to move for nothing.
Goalkeeper Stuart Nelson is another man on the transfer list but no offers have been made for the 35-year-old.
Gillingham are still waiting on striker Cody McDonald, who was offered a new deal at the end of last season, while winger Elliott List has also yet to commit.
Pennock will be hoping to make more additions before his squad return next Friday from their summer holidays.
A trio of new defensive signings have already arrived at Priestfield.
“I would like to thank the chairman for getting those deals done and the players in,” said the Gills head coach. “The squad is coming together nicely.”
