Starting games in the last few weeks has been really good but I really want to get a goal.
I have come so close so many times.
I had a chance against Peterborough, I got clipped in the box and a few of the boys said I should have gone down but it didn’t cross my mind.
I just thought, ‘I’m going to score here’. I felt the challenge but I thought I would go on and score and looking back maybe I should have gone down.
I would probably do the same again but make sure I scored next time!
I came close again at the weekend, against Northampton. The keeper just got his fingertips to it, tipping it past the post, which was annoying.
It is getting closer and closer and I just hope it comes soon because we need goals around here. Goals win games.
The chairman has spoken about the feel good factor returning and I know what he means. It feels like the old Gills again.
The stadium here has been rocking and the fans are enjoying it, there is more of a buzz around the ground. It does feel better.
When the fans are buzzing, they can help you get through a game, when you are out there and you have them behind you, you do feel 10 feet taller.
I don’t think they have a song for me but I do have a celebration ready when I do score. Me and Sean (Clare) have something lined up together. We will show if off when we score.
