We rectified a few things against Rochdale on Tuesday and I was pretty happy to have scored the second goal.
Coventry’s first goal last Saturday came from them clearing the ball off the line and me getting my bearings wrong and losing my footing.
It is one of those things that you learn from. It hurt at the time but it can make you a stronger person.
It was the start of a crazy spell where Coventry punished us.
You are going to make mistakes in your career and the team the manager picked on Tuesday showed he has confidence in his players.
He has shown belief in the players and that gives us as a lot of confidence. It also gives us more hunger to play for him.
Mistakes are going to happen, the manager knows that but it is the reaction that is important. We did the best thing possible.
We beat Rochdale 2-0 and there is nothing better than a clean sheet as a defender.
We wanted to go back to our foundation of how solid and hard to beat we are normally and show Coventry was a blip.
Ryan Jackson started the move off for the opening goal. He is a big, strong boy and good at defending. He is so fast and strong, when he wins the ball he can turn it into attack straight away.
Both he and Bradley Garmston on the other side help out John Egan and I a lot, covering us and setting up attacks.
Although Jacko is strong, I would definitely beat him in an arm-wrestle. He would be lunchmeat!
I don’t see him in the gym too often but he does a lot of core work behind closed doors. I don’t think he wants anyone to know his secret.
