It was good to get away with the boys last week but we’re looking forward to playing at home again.
We had a couple of decent results away from home with the draws against Bristol City and Walsall.
The boys stayed together from the Thursday to the Sunday for a bit of team bonding and I think everyone enjoyed it.
We were happy with the way we played on the Thursday night against Bristol City in the JPT and we gave ourselves a good account on TV. It was a shame we couldn’t have got another goal or two to make it interesting.
Before moving up north to face Walsall we stayed in Cheltenham.
We played a bit of golf last Friday while we were away and I went around with John Egan, John Marquis and Luke Norris. After a few holes it started raining though and we didn’t finish off!
I was doing alright but I think out of everyone, Steve Lovell was the best. I am not far behind him though, and I beat him during the club golf day.
We trained the following day, using Cheltenham Town’s facilities. With Cheltenham having a game that day there were just a few of the youth team in there. Jermaine McGlashan was enjoying seeing a few old faces but we were only there for a few hours.
