We are on a winning run and when you’re on one you feel like you can’t stop. Winning becomes a habit and we fear nobody.
It’s an enjoyable place to work right now and everyone is confident, everyone is smiling.
We haven’t taken our foot off the gas in training, though. It has been pretty intense, it’s been sharp and we train how we play. We are not having a jolly-up, that’s for sure.
Since last Saturday’s win there has been talk of the play-offs and it is within touching distance.
I don’t think we should be getting carried away, but if the boys keep putting in the performances and getting wins then we will just keep looking upwards.
We go to Yeovil this weekend and although I haven’t played many, I was involved in the League Cup game there back at the start of the season.
I made a couple of early saves and that settled me down – I enjoyed it. We won 2-1 and drew Newcastle in the next round.
Stephen Bywater came in for that game but all I can worry about is what I do when I get a chance to play.
Goalkeeping is a unique position where only one can play and you just have to bide your time and hope to get a chance. You just have to do your job and be ready.
I thought I was going to get a chance at the start of the season, when Stuart Nelson got injured, but Bywater came in. I would rather have played but it is just one of those things.
