Frank Nouble and Baily Cargill have both left Gillingham.
Forward Nouble had come to the end of a short-term deal while Cargill’s loan from Bournemouth was also up.
Gills head coach Ady Pennock has decided against extending either deal.
Nouble was in his second spell at the Gills, making 13 appearances and scoring three times.
Pennock said: “I want to thank him, I have had him for three or four days and he has been top drawer but I made that decision early and I would just like to wish him all the best in the future.”
Cargill made his Gills debut in November after overcoming an injury and went onto make 10 appearances for the club.
Reading loan keeper Jonathan Bond is another player who has come to the end of his deal, returning to the Championship club.
West Ham defender Josh Pask is on a season-long deal and is currently injured.
Striker Jay Emmanuel-Thomas is still with the Gills. His parent club QPR could recall his this month but if they don’t then he will see out the remainder of the season at Priestfield.
Pennock, meanwhile, is working on deals for new signings and hopes to have at least one in place before their trip to Oldham on Saturday.
