Scott Wagstaff believes there is much more to come from Gillingham - starting at Chesterfield on Tuesday.
The midfielder will be hoping to keep his place in the first 11 for the trip to the Proact Stadium after returning to the side against Coventry on Saturday when he helped the Gills end a run of five games without a win.
Before the weekend they had taken just one point from their last three in League 1.
Wagstaff said: “It was nice to get back to winning ways. All the lads are buzzing and thinking about the next one because we want to get a little run going now to make sure we can push up the table.
“I don’t think we have played to our potential yet. We need to get more consistent and if we can get a run of wins, then we will be pushing up that table.
“We needed that win to get us up and running and we have to go again Tuesday and pick up a result there.”
Wagstaff has switched from midfield to right-back several times recently, including at the weekend, but he doesn’t mind.
He said: “My best is probably wide midfield but I am happy to do a job anywhere as long as I am getting minutes on the pitch because that is what I wanted, to be playing and enjoying my football, and that is what I am getting.
“I don’t mind, as long as we keep winning.”
