It was business as usual for Keith Walker during the latest round of the Wigmore CC Evening 10 Series.
Round eight was due to be held on the recently sanctioned Old Sheppey way course, but due to resurfacing works being undertaken on this section of road, the event was switched to the traditional five-lap two-mile circuit of Iwade.
Thirteen riders signed on to take part but Walker was dominant again, taking yet another victory in a very fast 23min14sec, to keep him in the championship lead.
There was a very impressive ride from Ryan Cottis, taking the second step of the podium and road bike class win with a course personal best time of 23.33. Ed Everall completed the podium places with 24.20.
Everall is now fourth in the championship with his consistent quick rides.
Another rider rewarded for his consistency in the series so far was Jamie Harris who finished fourth to move up into second place behind Walker in the series.
Kate Savage, who failed to finish last week’s round due to a hip injury, returned to post an impressive 26.46, taking the ladies victory on a new bike she is just getting used to -a great way to celebrate her birthday.
