Striker Mason Bloomfield opened his Chatham account during their 2-1 defeat at Harlow in Ryman League, Division 1 North on Tuesday.
Bloomfield is at Town on loan from League 2 Dagenham & Redbridge as part of the deal which saw Ade Yusuff head in the opposite direction.
With Yusuff gone, Chatham boss Kevin Watson is looking forward to working with another raw talent.
He said: “Mason is held in high regard at Dagenham and did OK but he is still learning the game.
“There was a bit of a naughty tackle in his first game (against Romford), early on, to give him a bit of an eye-opener as to what to expect at this level.
“He is only 17 but it is good to have him here. Not many kids play senior football at such a young age but he is tall, rangy and with a Nicolas Anelka physique. He’s got a bit about him.
“He’s a bit like when Ady first came to us as a 19-year-old.
“He was low on confidence but we gave him games and his confidence grew.”
