Defender Deji Oshilaja believes a united approach will get the Gills through their current problems.
The Gills sit 18th in the table after just one win in eight league games ahead of Tuesday's match at home to Walsall.
But Oshilaja insists everyone is sticking together and the players are “100%” behind the manager.
He said: “As a group that is not in question. We all know how good the gaffer is and how good he is for the club.
“Everyone is fully behind him and it is not a matter of blaming the gaffer because results aren’t going our way.
“We stick together, we win, lose and draw together. I am sure the supporters will stick with us as well. I am sure we will turn it around.”
The Gills were leading at Bristol Rovers until the 83rd minute and shipped another goal in the final minute to lose 2-1.
Oshilaja said: “Everyone put in a top performance and to come away with nothing, where I thought we had done enough to at least get a draw, that was tough to take.
"After a defeat we want to play again as soon as possible and Tuesday is good for us with the hurt we are feeling."
