Basketball took centre stage during the latest round of the Medway Mini Youth Games.
Three events took place at Medway Park during November in what is the 25th anniversary of the Mini Youth Games series.
Twenty-five teams took part in the cup competition with Barnsole emerging as winners ahead of second-placed Halling and Wainscott in third.
The fair play award went to Twydall.
A 12-team Champions Series took place the following week and after that a Plate competition.
Academy of Woodlands came through an exciting day to be crowned Mini Youth Games Basketball champions for 2024/25.
Those competing were joined by former Kent Crusaders and now professional Super League player Ciaran Sandy of London Lions.
The runners-up were St Mary’s Island with St Margaret’s in third and St Andrew’s fourth.
The Fair Play (Champions Series) winners were Riverside and the Plate winners were Brompton Westbrook.
Kent Crusaders players Caleb Thompson, Max Lynch and Ava Hodge were also present, as former pupils at Academy of Woodlands, Lordswood and St Margaret’s primary schools.
The badminton event was due to take place this week.
