Gillingham’s youngest professionals look set to be fully involved for the second half of the season.
Ex-Crystal Palace youngster Elliott List has recently made his Gills debut while former Tottenham academy player Emmanuel Osadebe burst onto the scene at the start of the season.
The teenagers have a big part to play, says boss Justin Edinburgh. On List’s involvement, the manager said: “He has got a lot to offer and has the bit between his teeth in training.
“He can play a part and can be that something, that unpredictability, that one that nobody knows about.
“He has done well and will have a part to play between now and the end of the season.”
List joined as a pro in the summer and was on loan at Braintree earlier this season.
Edinburgh said: “He didn’t play as much as we would have liked but going away and being in different environments can sometimes make you realise where you are.
“He is a bright talent, he has a good head on his shoulders, has a good confidence about him and there is a future for him.”
Osadebe hasn’t been involved as much of late but he made 16 appearances since being brought into the club in the summer. “He is someone who is here for the long haul and beyond this season,” said the manager.
“He will step in when needed and will have another run in the side, there is no doubt.
