Silver Blades have teamed up with the KM’s charity department to celebrate the ice skating centre’s 30th birthday.
Staff from the Gillingham-based leisure attraction and the KM Charity Team joined in the festivities with KM Walk to School mascot Buster Bug who wasted no time in taking to the ice.
As part of the celebrations Silver Blades are holding a competition for schools involved in the KM Walk to School campaign. This autumn the class that is top for green travel will win educational packages allowing every child in the class to visit Silver Blades for free.
Simon Dolby of the KM Charity Team said: “It’s fantastic that Silver Blades are so committed to helping our award-winning Walk to School scheme. We hope primary schools will sign up for Walk on Wednesday (WOW) and be in with a chance to win this great prize.”
Schools wanting to sign up for KM Walk to School schemes including WOW or Active Bug should contact Louise Rogerson on lrogerson@thekmgroup.co.uk or call 0844 264 0291 (Lo-Call).
