Local masterminds are invited to take part in a charity quiz night this April.
The district’s KM Big Charity Quiz will once again be held at the University of Kent’s sports hall and booking is now open for the event.
Amongst the beneficiaries of the evening are the League of Friends at Kent and Canterbury hospital which are celebrating a decade of involvement with the quiz.
Viv Pritchard, spokesperson at the League of Friends, said: “We are delighted to celebrate its 10 year association with the Big Charity Quiz at Canterbury and many local charities have benefited enormously from the money raised.”
She added: “Over the past decade, more than £20,000 has been donated from the proceeds of the Big Quiz to the League of Friends, and all this has been made available to fund a variety of important projects to help improve patient care at the Hospital. We hope that local people will continue to support the Big Quiz, have a fun evening and help raise money for good causes.”
Other charities benefiting from proceeds include child road safety initiatives and this paper’s Charity of the Year Pilgrims Hospice in East Kent.
Organised by the KM Charity Team, the quiz takes place on Friday, April 22 and provides a charity bar, raffle and individual prizes including the ‘Win in 10’ competition. Teams of eight are required to take part.
Tables are priced at £65, but a £10 discount is available by applying the code CANT16 when booking at kmbigquiz.co.uk
Key partners of the quiz include Barclays, MHA McIntyre Hudson and Shepherd Neame.
