Office Angels will again be using their professional expertise to ensure everything goes smoothly at the KM Big Charity Quiz next month.
Temps from the agency will be acting as runners at the quiz, collecting the answer sheets from the teams taking part.
And for the people on Office Angels’ books, the quiz is viewed as a golden opportunity.
Office Angels principal temporary consultant Lindsay Prescott said: “We have quite a few temps who put their names down to do it every year. Temps really enjoy the evening.
“Quite a few local employers are there, and it’s a good way for them to showcase their experience and get in front of employers.”
The quiz, which is organised by the KM Charity Team, takes place on Friday, November 9, at Maidstone Leisure Centre in Mote Park.
It will raise money for the Heart of Kent Hospice – the Kent Messenger newspaper’s charity of the year – as well as literacy and road safety services for schools. A share of the funds will also be given to a charity with a team taking part in the quiz, which will be chosen via a prize draw.
Each member of the winning team will take home DFDS Seaways vouchers worth £150, and the top four teams will go through to the county final.
Lindsay estimated that Office Angles had been supporting the quiz for about 10 years, adding that she and her colleagues felt a real sense of personal commitment to the event.
She said: “We’ve worked alongside the KM Charity Team for years. It’s all about supporting the local community.
“All of us are local. It’s just very close to our hearts, really. Most of us in the office have been here 10-plus years as well. So we do it from a personal level as well.”
Event coordinator Dominic Comins said: “It’s great to have the guys from Office Angels on board for the Maidstone Big Quiz again.
“Their support and skills always make such a significant contribution to the success of the evening.”
Apart from Office Angels and DFDS Seaways, the quiz is supported by Hornby, Shepherd Neame, Barclays and accountancy practice Wilkins Kennedy.
It is for teams of up to eight people, with doors opening at 6.20pm for a 7pm start. The fun is estimated to finish at 10.30pm.
The entry price is £65 per team, but there is a £10 discount when you book using the discount code KMNEWS18.
