A group of mums are taking part in the KM Assault Course challenge to raise money for the Martha Trust.
Dee Murphy from Deal is one of the members of the team 'Mums On The Run'.
She said: “We are raising money for Martha Trust who provide support for people with profound disabilities at their homes in Deal and Hastings. They make sure that the young people and adults they care for enjoy as full and normal a life as possible. They are a great local cause who make a huge difference to the lives of the people they support and their families.”
Dee added: “I’m looking forward to having fun and working together as a team – although we are all a little bit competitive so I think there might be a bit of rivalry in there too!”
Event organiser Dominic Comins said the challenge is a real favourite for people of all ages. “Last year the teams had an absolute blast while they raised £8,000 for their favourite charities,” he said.
Participants will tackle tunnels, balance beams, a rope walk and more along the 530m course. There will be prizes for the best fancy dress outfits and the most successful fundraisers, while the biggest individual fundraiser will win £250 to spend at Bluewater shopping centre.
To book a team of up to six people visit www.kmcharityteam.co.uk and use the code KMAC14DL to receive a £12 discount. Participants must be 14 years or older.
Sponsored by Fairweathers Solicitors and London Fancy Box, the challenge takes place at Fowlmead Country Park on Saturday, October 4.
