The KM Charity Team said thank you to its supporters with a special awards ceremony on Thursday (March 7).
The educational charity handed out 90 awards to organisations and individuals in recognition of their help in delivering its fundraising and educational events and services.
The KM Charity Partnership Awards took place at the Ashford International Hotel, with the winners being presented with special trophies and framed certificates.
The awards were hosted by KM Charity Team chief executive Simon Dolby and KM Group head of multimedia Nicola Everett.
KM Charity Team chairman Stuart Smith and trustees Brian Portanier and Martin Vye trustee helped present awards. And two of the charity’s partners – catering and events specialist Blessing Enakimio and Jason Raggatt of Barclays Premier Banking took to the stage to talk about their work with the charity.
There were 12 awards categories recognising partners’ support for the following areas of the KM Charity Team’s work: Walk to School; the Green School Awards; the Kent Teacher of the Year Awards; the London Teacher of the Year Awards; Incentives; Challenge Events; the KM Big Charity Quiz; Young Cooks and the Perfect Packed Lunch Awards; the Kent Literacy Awards; the Bright Spark Awards; the Thanet Community Awards; and Buster’s Book Club and Bookbinders.
Special recognition was made for groups and individuals who have supported the KM Charity Team for five years.
And 11 Gold Awards were presented in recognition of more than five years of service, and 14 Platinum Awards for partners who have worked with the KM Charity Team for over a decade.
KM Charity Team chief executive Simon Dolby said: “The support of these people and organisations is absolutely vital to the work we do promoting child health and educational performance and well-being across the south-east.
“And I’m so pleased to be able to say thank you to all of these partners with these awards.”
