Kent Sport is shooting to score at a charity quiz night in the district.
The University of Kent Sports Centre will play host to the Canterbury Big Quiz and staff are calling for teams to take part.
Clive Roberts, of Kent Sport, said: “The quiz provides a fantastic evening and fills our sports hall every time. We hope this year to see even more tables and raise lots of money for good causes.”
He added: “With so many departments on campus, this is a great opportunity for us to challenge colleagues and see just how good they are. We might be a sports department, but we like to think we’re pretty good on all topics!”
Funds raised benefit the Kentish Gazette’s Charity of the Year winner Pilgrims Hospice in East Kent, as well as child road safety schemes and the League of Friends at Kent and Canterbury Hospital.
Booking is now open for the quiz which takes place on Friday, April 22 and provides a charity bar, raffle and individual prizes including the ‘Win in 10’ competition.
Dominic Comins, events manager at the KM Charity Team who organises the quiz, said: “Canterbury crowned the 2015 Big Quiz grand champion, but can the trophy stay in the area? If you think your eggheads have what it takes, secure a table today.”
Teams of eight are required to take part with tables priced at £65, but a £10 discount is available by applying the code CANT16 when booking at kmbigquiz.co.uk
Key partners of the quiz include Shepherd Neame, Barclays and MHA McIntyre Hudson.
