There’s still time for last minute entries for the abseil charity challenge taking place on Father's Day this Sunday.
Friday is the deadline to sign up for this unforgettable experience, organised by the KM’s charity department.
Join the fearless fundraisers who will be abseiling down one of two ropes leading from the balcony of The Channel Suite at Leas Cliff Hall to the ground. Participants will have unique views of the beach as they make their way down to the sound of cheers from friends, family and other well wishers.
The brave souls will take the plunge with the help of Herne Bay based AL Scaffolding and trained abseil professionals.
Sam Barratt from AL Scaffolding said: "We are happy to support this event as it raises lots of money for a number of different charities. As a local business this is something that is really important to us and we wish the abseilers the best of luck."
Dominic Comins from the KM Charity Team said: “Most people will be completely outside their comfort zone and I applaud their bravery. This is an exciting experience they will never forget while the good causes they support will benefit enormously from the money they raise.”
The biggest individual fundraiser will win tickets to the award-winning West End show Jersey Boys, plus overnight stay and evening meal at the 4-star Cavendish Hotel.
The abseil charity challenge is supported by Holiday Extras, AL Scaffolding, and Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone.
