Barclays bank will double the money raised for charity at the 10 anniversary KM Big Charity Quiz on Friday, October 16.
The bank will match pound for pound all funds raised from the sale of raffle tickets and refreshments to guarantee a bumper cheque for the Guide Dogs for the Blind and road safety services for children.
Staff from Barclays’ Ashford branch will also serve drinks at the Spitfire charity bar stocked by Shepherd Neame.
Teresa Jepson from Barclays said: "It is our pleasure to support the KM Big Quiz. It is an event we have now been involved in for many years.
”The charity bar is a vital element of fundraising on the night. This will have an even greater impact as the money we raise will be matched through Barclays’ fantastic community investment programme that also encourages employees to get involved in charities and causes.
“It’s about giving back skills, time and energy to support local communities."
Also supporting the event are HR GO, Specsavers and Hallett and Co.
The 10 anniversary KM Big Quiz is being staged at the Stour Centre and organisers are calling for quiz teams to book now and ensure a cash windfall for charity.
A table for eight, which includes glass of wine or soft drink on arrival, ploughman's meal and free entry into a draw to win a P&O Ferries voucher, costs £65.
One lucky participant will have the chance to win a £100 cash prize if they correctly answer an on the spot quiz question. And there will be lots of prizes up for grabs in the raffle including classic collectables from Hornby.
Event organiser Dominic Comins of the KM Charity Team said: “With Barclays matching the charity pot and some amazing prizes to be won, there’s no better time to get a quiz team together.
“Why not gather for a fun battle of the brainiacs and give two good causes a real boost?”
