With the leaves turning rusty on the trees and the clocks set to go back in just two weeks, autumn is now very much upon us.
One of the season’s highlights is, of course, Guy Fawkes Night, and this year you can enjoy a double Bonfire Night bonanza by taking part in Buster’s Firewalk.
The fundraising event is organised by the KM Charity Team, with the money raised going towards good causes of participants’ choice and the team’s child-literacy scheme Buster’s Book Club.
It takes place at Kent cricket club’s St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury on November 5, and will be followed by a spectacular display of pyrotechnics.
There is now just over three weeks to book tickets.
Event coordinator Dominic Comins of the KM Charity Team said: “Time is fast running out to book for Buster’s Firewalk – either to take part or to enjoy the event and the fireworks afterwards as a spectator.
“This really promises to be a magical event for families and fundraisers, and will also raise much-needed cash for charities and good causes.”
The entry charge of £25 per person enables fundraisers to enjoy the fireworks display that follows it for free. Supporters can purchase tickets at a discounted rate to watch both events.
There is a £5 discount when you use the code KMNEWS18, and you can make bookings at www.kmcharityteam.co.uk/booking.
To find out more, contact Mr Comins by calling 0844 264 0291 or emailing dcomins@thekmgroup.co.uk.
The event will be managed by specialist UK Firewalk, whose founder – former firewalk world record holder Scott Bell – will train participants before they walk across coals with a temperature above 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
Participants must be 11 or above, and are asked to aim to raise at least £100 in sponsorship. Anyone who individually raises more than £200 will be entered into a draw to win a luxury spa day for two.
