Big money is up for grabs for quizzers and charities at the KM Big Quiz next week.
And booking is still open for the 10 anniversary event being staged on Friday, June 19 at Maidstone Leisure Centre.
There’s a raffle packed with big prizes and one quiz-goer will have the chance to answer an on the spot quiz question to win £100 in cash.
Money from the raffle and charity bar stocked by Shepherd Neame will be matched by Barclays bank, doubling the payout for three good causes including this paper’s charity of the year Maidstone Mind.
Jason Raggatt, community banker from Barclays, said: “The money raised will be matched through Barclays’ fantastic community investment programme that encourages employees to get involved in the charities and causes that are close to them.
“It’s about giving back skills, time, and energy to support local communities.”
Dominic Comins of the KM Charity Team said: “The Big Quiz is one of the most enjoyable ways to help charities raise much-needed funds. It’s a highly sociable evening of fun and laughter, prize giveaways, food and drink.
“Our 10 anniversary event is set to be a record breaker so register your team today, you won’t regret it.”
All participants will receive a drink on arrival, ploughman’s supper and free entry into a prize draw to win a P&O Ferries voucher.
Proceeds raised will also be shared with Heart of Kent Hospice and road safety services for children.
The Big Quiz is supported by MHA MacIntyre Hudson, Day Smith and Hunter (DSH), Hornby Visitor Centre and Qube Recruitment.
