More on KentOnline
Booking is now open for Kent’s only fundraising abseil of the year.
The unique KM Spring Abseil provides participants with the chance to raise money for charities of their choice, and takes place on Sunday, March 17, at Thomas Place in Maidstone, where there will be a 100ft drop.
It is supported by Housing & Care 21, Maidstone Scaffolding and Specsavers.
Organiser Dominic Comins said: “This is such a fun event and – with no other fundraising abseils taking place anywhere in the county in 2019 – the only one of its kind.
“So if you’re looking for a new challenge, a fresh experience and to try something different, there aren’t many better opportunities than this.
“And you needn’t think that this is just for young adrenaline junkies. It’s a completely safe and controlled environment with expert support, and our oldest participant last year was 76.”
Participants are asked to try to raise a minimum of £75. And the person who raises the most money will win a £150 Eurotunnel voucher.
You need to be over 14 to take part, and no more than 16 stone in weight.
It costs £25 to take part, but there is a £5 discount when using the booking code KMNews19.
