Time is running out to book places for Kent’s only charity abseil this autumn.
The KM Charity Team’s Winter Abseil takes place on Saturday, October 5.
Participants can either take place just for fun or to raise money for good causes of their choice.
Under the supervision of climbing and abseiling specialists Hatt Adventures, they will descend from the top of one of Maidstone’s highest buildings – 100-foot-high Thomas Place.
Event coordinator Dominic Comins said: “This is your very last chance to take part in an abseil challenge in Kent this year.
“While there’s no fundraising obligation, if you are trying to generate money for a charity and are looking for a stand-out challenge to grab the attention of potential donors, this really is the perfect opportunity.
“The abseil is such a thrilling experience, and you won’t get another chance to do anything like it in Kent this year.”
The abseil is supported by Housing & Care 21 and Maidstone Scaffolding.
Participants must be at least 14. It’s recommended that fundraising abseilers set a sponsorship target of at least £75 with 70 per cent of the money going to their chosen causes, and 30 per cent helping to fund the KM Charity Team’s literacy and green-travel schemes.
