A SPECIAL presentation took place on the first day of the csma Festival at Brands Hatch last Saturday.
The chief executive at the circuit, Jonathan Palmer, handed over a cheque for £2,540 to officials of the Lions Hospice, based in nearby Farningham.
The money was raised at the Residents' Day held at Brands in January. Local residents visited the famous track for the day and paid £5 per activity, "having a go" in race cars, rally cars, the 4x4 course and karting
A spokesman said: "It was our way of thanking the local people for their support for Brands over the years."
