Booking is now open for the Maidstone heat of the KM Big Charity Quiz, and brewery Shepherd Neame is helping to ensure a great evening for those taking part.
Besides supplying the stock for the event’s charity bar, it is also giving away special hampers of booze as prizes for each member of the winning team.
All sales from the Spitfire bar will go to good causes including Kent Messenger charity of the year Royal British Legion Industries.
Shepherd Neame communications executive Moray Neame said: “We have been sponsoring the KM Big Quiz for more than a decade, and are very proud to support such a popular fundraising event in our heartland.”
The top four teams will go through to the county final in January.
Any organisation entering a minimum of three teams will be presented with a prize for their best-performing group.
There will be special prizes for the top teams from the NHS and care sector and from local government and schools.
And charities that enter teams will go into a prize draw, with the winner earning a share of the money raised on the night.
Also taking benefitting will be KM Charity Team services supporting child literacy and road safety.
Organised by the KM Charity Team, the event for teams of up to eight people takes place at Maidstone Leisure Centre on Friday, November 8, with doors opening at 6.20pm for a 7pm start.
Contestants will receive substantial nibbles and a bottle of wine on their tables, and the fun is estimated to finish at 10.30pm.
The entry price is £65 per team, but there is a £10 discount when you book using the discount code KMNEWS19.
Besides Shepherd Neame, the quiz is also supported by Barclays, Hornby and Office Angels.
