The 10 anniversary Medway heat of the KM Big Charity Quiz will have real specs appeal thanks to a high street chain of opticians.
Specsavers’ Gillingham branch is swapping eye tests for brain teasers at the mammoth wine and wisdom style event in March. Proceeds raised will support the work of the Kent Messenger newspaper’s charity of the year Medway Youth Trust and road safety services for children.
Organised by the KM Charity Team the KM Big Quiz is now open for booking and will be staged at the St George Hotel, Chatham on Friday, March 11.
Craig Holland of Specsavers said: “We are excited to be supporting this year’s 10 anniversary Medway Big Quiz. I think it would be great to have two teams - one from Chatham, one from Gillingham - competing against each other. We can take on our local customers as well! All stores are looking forward to it and can’t wait for the night.”
Other businesses backing the charity event include Kent brewer Shepherd Neame which is donating a fully stocked charity bar and Barclays bank.
Event organiser Dominic Comins of the KM Charity Team said: “The KM Big Quiz is a fun night out perfect for friends and families as well as businesses that want to do a bit of team building or get involved with the community.”
Quizzers will enjoy a free drink on arrival and ploughman’s supper plus a prize packed charity raffle and the chance to win a pair of Eurostar tickets.
