Are you brave enough to go eye to eye with Specsavers at one of the county’s most popular charity quizzes?
The optician has challenged other businesses in Kent to front up with teams at the Ashford heat of the KM Big Quiz, and is promising a special prize for the best performer.
The charity event takes place at the Ashford International Hotel on Friday, June 21. It will raise money for the Kentish Express’s charity of the year, the Stroke Association, along with KM Charity Team services supporting child literacy and road safety, plus one good cause chosen via prize draw.
Benita Lowe of Specsavers said: “Specsavers staff have loved being involved in the KM Big Quiz for almost a decade.
“It’s always a fun event, and it enables us to bring staff together for a teambuilding event with a charitable twist.
“This year, Specsavers is challenging other businesses in Ashford town centre to take on teams, and we will be providing a prize for the top-placed team.
“To compete against us, you will need a team of no more than eight people, and I recommend you have a spread of ideas and interests in your team.”
Tables for the event cost £65, but there is a £10 discount when using the special booking code SpecsaversVIP.
Apart from Specsavers, the quiz is supported by law firm Hallett and Co, Barclays, Shepherd Neame, Office Angels, Independent Music Productions, Hornby and Eurostar.
Shepherd Neame will provide the drinks for the charity bar, with Barclays match-funding sales.
Office Angels’ temps will act as runners on the evening, and Independent Music Productions will supply and operate the PA system.
There will be a raffle featuring Hornby collectables, and one quizzer selected at random will have the chance to win two Eurostar tickets in the timed ‘Win in 10’ mini-game.
