Two charities can bank on big money at the 10 anniversary KM Big Charity Quiz being staged in Chatham.
Barclays will double the takings at the charity bar and raffle on the night giving a huge boost to the Medway Messenger’s charity of the year Medway Youth Trust and children’s road safety services.
The special event is being staged at the St George Hotel on Friday, March 11 and organisers are hoping for a record turnout to ensure a bumper charity pot.
Andy Hunt of Barclays bank, Chatham, said: “We have a team of quizzers and a team that works behind the bar. It’s a great time for us as Barclays staff to come together and put something into the community - and it’s great for us to try and get a bit competitive. If you want to try and beat our Barclays team, go ahead and register your team!”
Key partners of the event include Shepherd Neame, which will supply the fully stocked charity bar, Specsavers and Hornby.
Event organiser Dominic Comins of the KM Charity Team said: “Help us to celebrate a decade of charity support by booking a team for the 10 anniversary KM Big Quiz. We’re hoping for a record number of teams so we can make the most of Barclays’ generous offer to match funds raised pound for pound.”
The price for a team of up to eight is £65 including free drink on arrival and ploughman’s meal for each quizzer plus the chance to win a pair of Eurostar tickets.
