Charities have struck gold by dipping into the KM Treasure Chest and pulling out prizes which have brought in more than £12,157 for good causes in this area.
The treasure chest scheme gives out top prizes free to charities for their fund-raising raffles or auctions.
Those donated by companies include P&O Ferry tickets, family tickets to Leeds Castle, the Hop Farm and the historic dockyard, Chatham, and tickets to Gillingham Football Club matches.
The £100k magic number has just been reached county-wide and is based on figures submitted back from the organisations who have received Treasure Chest prizes.
KM charity and community projects manager, Simon Dolby, said: “The £100,000 mark is an impressive milestone.
“It is fantastic news and shows just what a difference the KM Treasure Chest is making to charities right across Kent.”
Schemes which have benefited include Teynham Community Preschool, Kent Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, the Friends of Wingham Village Hall, Beltinge and Reculver Village Hall and Activity for Health at Faversham.
In exchange for their prize community causes are required to highlight the support by the sponsoring attraction as well as the treasure chest scheme.
