Simon Dolby, chief executive of the KM Charity Team, will hope to support fellow charities by offering his knowledge and expertise at a fundraising fair next month.
The leading fundraising guru will offer instant answers and solutions to PR issues during his ‘Challenge Simon’ session at the Kent and Medway Fundraising Fair on June 1.
Mr Dolby, said: “Queries and questions about the charitable sector are common practice in my field, and at previous events I have found myself helping to solve issues but within a far shorter time period. I am pleased that in 2016 I can expand the duration of this feature and I sincerely hope it is beneficial for many. If you’d like to challenge me, be sure to come along to the session.”
The fundraising fair is staged at The Skinners’ Kent Academy, Sandown Park, Tunbridge Wells TN2 4PW and is open from 8:45am until 4:00pm.
Mr Dolby will be staging his KM Charity Team session at 2:45pm and it will include tips on corporate fundraising, how to apply to be a KM Charity of the Year, and his ‘Challenge Simon’ feature.
As well as the KM Charity Team, exhibitors and speakers include the Big Lottery Fund, Small Charities Coalition, Kent County Council, Kent Sports Trust, Heritage Lottery Fund, Arts Council and the Kent Community Foundation.
Delegates will have the opportunity to meet a range of different funders in person. Advice will be offered in writing bids, funding strategies, business planning, tendering, legacies and developing budgets.
The day will be hosted by Funding For All, a charity that mentors voluntary organisations and community groups across Kent and Medway. There will be presentations from leaders in the field and workshops that cover everything from getting corporate support to opportunities in European funding.
Funding For All’s Chief Executive, Nigel Turley said “Following the success of our previous funding fairs, I am delighted to be able to offer such a wealth of expertise to a wide number of organisations covering Kent and Medway this year. It’s going to be a fantastic event.”
A range of informative seminars including Big Lottery Fund, Charity Bank and Tudor Trust are bookable in advance, as well as individual sessions with expert funding mentors from Funding For All, whose sessions are provided free of charge on the day.
Tickets are on sale now at £17.50 per person including lunch from the Funding for All website.
