Tributes to the charity efforts of Brian Gilbert from Kingsnorth poured in after he died suddenly - just a week after launching his annual Christmas light show for charity.
The 70-year-old retired lorry driver, who illuminated his house and garden in Church Hill each festive season to raise funds for Ashford Pilgrims Hospice, died of a heart attack.
After his widow Ann decided to keep the lights shining as a tribute, wellwishers left £480 in his memory.
She said: “I received so many cards and donations that I am overwhelmed by the generosity.”
