Coffee flowed freely as people raised funds for cancer research.

Scores of people held events during the World's Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

They included residents at Marvillion Court, East Peckham.

Residents at the Invicta Telecare sheltered scheme invited friends and family to join in the fun and help raise as much money as possible.

Home made marmalade, cakes and sausages rolls were on offer as well as a good as new stall and raffle.

Vivian Corke, Invicta Telecare’s scheme manager at Marvillion Court, said: “Even though we are a fairly small scheme everyone is extremely proud of our fund-raising efforts throughout the year and feel every little helps.

"Taking part in fund-raising activities like this is a great way of getting residents and the local community involved and of course the perfect opportunity to meet up with friends and family.”
