There is just over a week left to praise excellence in teaching by submitting a nomination for the Kent Teacher of the Year Awards.
Nominations for primary and secondary teachers of standard curriculum subjects, newly qualified teachers, non teaching members of staff, volunteers and teams are open until noon Wednesday March 8
Gill Cahill of CXK Limited, a charity that helps young people improve their educational and career prospects, is supporting the careers advisor category.
She said: “Its important we celebrate staff who are helping young people to identify the careers they might like to do when they are older”
A celebratory dinner organised by the KM Charity Team and hosted at the Mercure Great Danes Hotel, Maidstone in May will name the district and overall winners. The prestigious event will honour more than 50 staff and schools.
Simon Dolby of the KM Charity Team said: “Guiding pupils towards their dream job is a truly life changing skill, setting young people up for success and fulfilment when they enter the world of work.”
He added: “Help us to reward excellence in teaching by submitting a nomination for a standout member of staff. It is so easy to do, simply complete the online form on the awards website.”
Organisations joining the judging panel include University of Kent, Kent County Council, Christ Church University, CXK, Kent Sport, Three R’s Teacher Recruitment, Social Enterprise Kent, Project Salus, Kreston Reeves, LoopCR, Trust Careers at Medway Youth Trust, Hornby, Battle of Britain Memorial Trust, Kent Libraries, the Mercure Great Danes Maidstone, Beanstalk.
