A sunny blue sky and lots of laughs helped made the annual Boxing Day Dip in Deal a great occasion.
Crowds of brave people peeled off their winter layers and charged into the big choppy water, many wearing fancy dress.
The annual mad-cap tradition on Deal seafront is held to raise money for good causes and was organised by The Thursday Club.
Deal’s first youth mayor Cofie Behan, 15, blinged it up dressed as Ali G, accompanied by mum Kerry Rubins who wore a nurse outfit. His friend Carl Thatcher, 17, came along for moral support and camped it up as a transvestite.
Cofie said he has been raising cash for the Gambia Educationa and Teaching Support Fund, a charity his mother has been supporting in the dip for the last four years.
