Defy your limitations and raise money for good causes by taking part in the KM Assault Course Challenge.
The adrenaline-inducing charity event is now open for booking, and a local magazine editor is calling for businesses across the county to muddy their knees and polish their reputation in the process.
Hilary Steel, editor of Kent Women in Business magazine, said: “This provides a fantastic opportunity for social-responsible companies to get involved and put their money where their brand is. It enables businesses to support their charitable sectors and cement their identity in the community simultaneously.”
She added: “The event offers the longest assault course outside of military training in the county. It’s called a ‘Civil Course’; although I’m not quite sure what’s civil about it!”
Teams of six – aged 14 years and over – must tackle nineteen taxing obstacles including balance beams, a tyre wall, water jumps and the rope walk.
All entrants are urged to raise as much money for their favourite charity and will each claim a souvenir certificate upon completion.
Businesses are able to support the event by taking part, or by becoming corporate ambassadors alongside Kent Women in Business, Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance and Qube Recruitment.
Dominic Comins, events manager of the KM Charity Team which organises the event, said: “The Assault Course Challenge broke records for sponsorship last year, and the desire is to go even bigger in 2016. We are always looking to assist our local businesses with their fundraising efforts, so please do contact if your company is keen to back the challenge day.”
Kent’s ultimate dirty day out takes place on Saturday, October 1 at Betteshanger Country Park, near Deal.
