There are just two weeks to go until the 10 anniversary KM Big Charity Quiz.
But a handful of tables are available for the landmark event being staged on Friday, June 19 at Maidstone Leisure Centre.
Businesses, families and groups of friends are invited to enter teams and join in the record attempt to beat last year’s fundraising figure of £2,000.
Barclays bank will match funds raised pound for pound from the raffle and the charity bar which will be stocked by Britain’s oldest brewer Shepherd Neame.
Beneficiaries of the event include this paper’s charity of the year Maidstone Mind as well as Heart of Kent Hospice and road safety services for children.
Among the businesses vying for the trophy will be teams from MHA MacIntyre Hudson, Qube Recruitment and Day Smith and Hunter (DSH).
Julian Glover of DSH said: “The KM Big Quiz is a great night out that’s loads of fun. Every year we enter a team with the hope of winning but have yet to be victorious.
“We may not win the quiz but there’s always the raffle and one of us usually walks off with one of the great prizes.”
One quiz-goer will have the chance to answer an on the spot quiz question to win £100 in cash.
A table for eight people, inclusive of a drink on arrival, ploughman's meal and entry into a prize draw to win a P&O Ferries voucher, costs £65.
