The race is on as we look forward to the annual KM Dragon Boat Race; the race to secure a boat that is...
A staggering 40 boats have already been secured for the Kent Reliance-partnered challenge event which is staged at Mote Park, Maidstone on Sunday, July 3.
Teams of 11 compete in the race, with one crew member beating a beat to dictate the pace of the paddles. They take part in a minimum of three races but the fastest teams compete in the finals at the end of the day.
You may have up to 17 rowers in your squad, so fill all 17 spaces to raise more money and everyone will have at least two races on the day.
100% of money raised will go towards participants’ chosen charities and last year the event shattered records for funds accumulated. With just a few boats remaining for this year’s race, it looks as though the event is well on track to beat its predecessor too.
Dominic Comins, events manager at the KM Charity Team which organises the race, said: “The Dragon Boat Race is perhaps our biggest event in the calendar, and we are on track to make 2016 the most successful year ever. If you are longing for an action-packed, fun-filled day out, gather your team and book now to avoid disappointment!”
Book using code KMBDR16 at www.kmcharityteam.co.uk/booking to receive a £50 discount.
Corporate sponsorship packages are also available, with each firm having a dragon boat named after their business.
