EASTENDERS actress June Brown will be swapping Walford for a Kent town tomorrow (Thursday) to help a good cause.

More than 20 cast members from the BBC soap have signed a football shirt from Lordswood FC Under 18s at Chatham.

June, who plays chain-smoking laundry worker Dot Branning, will be leaving Albert Square for the evening to join staff at Asda in Chatham to auction off the shirt.

The rare piece of soap memorabilia will go under the hammer at 7pm. Money raised will be split between the football club, to help buy kit and equipment, and local charities.

Football manager Chris Finan said: “The autographs were collected over a number of years by a guy who used to work as a driver at the BBC. A reserve of £750 has been put on the lot, but we are hoping to raise between £1,500 and £2,500.”
