On Friday, 18 November the Ashford Big Quiz will see around 36 teams battling it out to win the quiz crown. This is the eleventh anniversary for the annual event, which this year is being held at the Stour Centre. It has become increasingly popular for its mix of wine and wisdom.
As well as testing their general knowledge skills and having fun with friends and colleagues, quizzers will also be raising thousands of pounds for charity.
Barclays Ashford will be heading up the bar on the night selling stock donated by Kent-brewer Shepherd Neame. The bank is also committed to a pound for pound scheme and will match money raised on the night.
In his role as the KM Big Charity Quiz questionmaster, Simon Dolby from the KM Charity Team said: "We're all really looking forward to tomorrow night's event with high hopes that we'll smash previous records for both attendance and fundraising, meaning we can help lots of good causes in south Kent while also having some fun!"
The top three teams from the heat will be invited to take part in the Big Quiz County Final at the beginning of 2017, facing rival quizzers from heats staged in Canterbury, Medway and Maidstone.
Organisations supporting the event include Shepherd Neame, Barclays bank, Specsavers, Hallett and Co., Office Angels and the Stour Centre. To secure your table or to submit a question for the Readers' Round visit www.kmbigquiz.co.uk.
