Get ready to pump those tyres and oil that chain because the KM Big Bike Ride sets off this weekend.
The annual charity fundraiser rolls on at Betteshanger Park, near Deal on Sunday, April 24 and online booking remains open until 11:59pm on Saturday, April 23.
Those choosing to secure their place online can take advantage of the generous discount code KMPRBB16 which will reduce the fee by £5. Alternatively riders can simply arrive on the day and pay before setting off.
The Vattenfall-supported KM Big Bike Ride accommodates to all levels of ability by providing two routes – a 50K countryside and a 100K coastal – both signed by key partner Locks of Sandwich Cycles.
Cyclists have the choice to ride for charity or ride for fun at the event. Those choosing to raise funds for good causes can select their favourite charities, or opt for one of those associated with the ride such as the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.
All riders will benefit from refuelling stations throughout both routes offering hydration and sustenance, and everyone will receive a limited edition medal upon completion as well as a sportive photograph.
Lisa Craig, events manager at the KM Charity Team, which organises the event, said: “With less than a week until the ride, we are looking for additional riders to help us make this a record-breaking year. Everyone who takes part has the opportunity to win Eurostar tickets as an additional perk, plus you can still make good use of the online discount code. Don't delay and book today, and we'll see you all on Sunday!"
The KM Big Bike Ride is open to all, but children aged 12 – 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
